The Hair transplantation is currently the fastest and most effective method of permanently eliminating bald patches or low hair density. A hair transplant is useful for

How many grafts should be transplanted depends on your individual needs. Our doctors will clarify this during a personal consultation following an examination. For orientation: For Eyebrows usually 50-200 grafts are required, whereas with advanced Alopecia (e.g. grade 4) between 2000 and 5000 grafts are required.

During a hair transplant, hair follicles are removed from the donor area (usually the back of the head) and transplanted into the bald areas. The procedure takes one day. The Costs of a hair transplant depend on the quantity of grafts required. In our Practice the costs start at € 2500, with the price per graft being € 2.5. One graft comprises 2-4 hair follicles.

All Hair transplants are performed under local anaesthetic in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. You will be awake during the procedure and can watch TV or listen to music.

The duration of the procedure varies depending on the number of grafts to be transplanted and takes several hours. Breaks for lunch and relaxation are planned during the hair transplant.

The healing time is around 8 to 12 days. During this time, it is important to refrain from intense physical activity. After 2 to 3 months, the transplanted hair begins to grow and the full result is usually visible after 9 to 12 months.

In rare cases where transplanted hair does not grow in as expected, various factors can play a role. One PRP treatment after transplantation can additionally promote healing.

Thanks to the FUE technique traces remain in the donor area. As soon as the transplanted hair grows back, it looks completely natural.

Transplanted hair does not usually fall out as it comes from a genetically resistant area. Temporary hair loss ("shock loss") after transplantation is normal.

The first results are visible after around 3 to 4 months, with full results usually appearing after 9 to 12 months.
